Another Shooting Day

“Passion takes you there, obsession kills you.”

I am now waiting for the other 2 announcer’s from MY.FM (Chinese radio station) to finish their shift so that our team can continue to start shooting again at 8.30 p.m. We started at 9 a.m.

It’s cold in here at my office and near my table (about 50 metre’s) there’s a tele, I am watching Jimmy Kimmel from a distance away. Behind me, there are some renovation going on and it’s separated by a wall. As one can guess, I am working in production. The entertainment industry is fun but a lot of waiting. Most of the time waiting for the talents.

But otherwise, I love my job. What exactly is my role? By name, TV production assistant but by any other name, it would probably be ‘jack’ of all traits but master of none. Currently in Special Projects, specializing in commercials I’m gradually learning my scope a little more differently than talk-shows, interviews, and events. It’s great fun working on blue screen professionally and shooting outside on 16mm lens. In Malaysia, that’s pretty rare and yeah… we are slow here.

Anyhow, that is my job.
